And at the turnstile, you will find the entrances for Lightning Lane and Standby queues. It stands 51 feet tall, with signature blue and gold colors from the ships in the series. When you enter the pavilion, the first thing you’ll see is a Nova Corps Starblaster ship parked outside the entrance to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Your journey starts at the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion in EPCOT, created by Xandarians who traveled all the way to Earth (or Terra as they call it) from their homeworld to teach Terrans about the Xandarians and their culture and history, including their heroes like the Guardians of the Galaxy! As a guest, you are here to learn about Xandar until things go awry and you are forced to save the galaxy. The building has been home to three attractions: Universe of Energy (1982-1996), Ellen’s Energy Adventure (1996-2017), and now Guardians of the Galaxy. It replaces the Universe of Energy pavilion, where the attraction’s entrance, queue, pre-show rooms, and loading area are held, while the roller coaster is in a separate, newly constructed building. The ride fits in well in World Discovery as that area is all about exploration, science, and technology. It’s on the same side of the park as Test Track, Mission: SPACE, Treasures of Xandar gift shop, and the upcoming Play Pavilion. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind can be found in the new World Discovery area in the former Future World of EPCOT. Where is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind? They use many of the same characters, but the ride system and story are remotely the same. ![]() ![]() Mission: BREAKOUT is built based on the old Tower of Terror attraction ride system, while Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a roller coaster. Is Guardians of the Galaxy the same as Mission: BREAKOUT in Disneyland? Nope, they are very different rides. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind brings guests on an adventure in what Disney calls a “storytelling coaster.” It is a crazier and more fun version of Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom - not overly intense and somewhere on the same level as Slinky Dog Dash, but not as strong as the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. ![]() This is not your traditional roller coaster.
